Babies and Bumps event
Saturday, March 27 in Folsom: 9am-3pm
Sacramento Parent magazine in conjunction with Kaiser Permanente,
is proud to present the second annual Babies & Bumps event, celebrating
parenthood and pregnancy, babies and families. It's Sacramento's
premier baby event of the year. Start with a 3K fun run/walk. Then
on to the diaper derby, the hilarious Daddy Dash, speakers, a fashion
show, entertainment and over 50 vendors all especially for new or
soon-to-be mommas. Proceeds benefit the Twin Lakes Food Bank. BabiesandBumps.net
PASSPORT TO SUMMER YOUTH FAIR
Sunday, May 8: 11am-4pm at Southside Park
Passport to Summer is a free, one-stop way to browse safe and fun
summer activities for children and youth. Local Parks and Rec departments
and community organizations will showcase summer programs, youth
employment, internships and volunteer opportunities. There will also
be fun children's activities, a bounce house, raffles, entertainment,
and Radio Disney. Pick up your copy of Sacramento Parent’s

great summer camp options!
KIDS FEST
Sunday, May 16 at Whitney Ranch Park in Rocklin: 12noon-4pm
A fun-filled day especially for preschool kiddos and their families,
Kids Fest kicks off with a family fun walk sponsored by—who
else?—Sacramento Parent magazine! Visit a reptile den, enjoy
story times, classes, games and much more. Proceeds benefit Sierra

Veggie Chase 5K and Kids Runs
Sunday, May 23: 8:30am at Southside Park
What could be sillier and more fun than chasing vegetables? The Veggie
Chase is a unique community event where kids and families come together
to enjoy an event inspiring lifelong appreciation of fitness, exercise
and healthy food choices. There will be prizes, entertainment and

TARGET CHILDREN'S BOOK CELEBRATION
Saturday and Sunday, September 25 & 26: 10am-4pm at Fairytale
Town in Sacramento
Admission is free both days of this weekend-long celebration featuring
presentations and storytelling performances by authors and illustrators
on the Mother Goose Stage, plus fun hands-on literacy activities,
and plenty of opportunities to play!
THE ELK GROVE GIANT PUMPKIN & HARVEST FESTIVAL
Saturday and Sunday, October 2 & 3: 10am-5pm at Elk Grove Regional
Park
