1. BUMP IT UP! Sacramento Parent magazine is teaming up with Kaiser Permanente once again, bringing you Sacramento’s most chic baby shower event: Babies & Bumps (see the 27th). CELEBRATE SUGAR AND SPICE Commemorate Women’s History Month at the Crocker Art Museum’s Tour of the Month, where you’ll learn about the women exemplifying strength and courage, who are featured in the museum, or at The California Museum's celebration of California's remarkable women (both on the 4th).

3. GO BALD. GET GREEN. Celebrate the Saints—get green at Old Sacramento’s St. Paddy’s fest after going bald (that’s right, bald!) in support of conquering childhood cancer at the St. Baldrick’s fundraising event. Or get an extra dose of green at Fairytale Town’s eco-friendly green fair. All events on the 13th.

4. VISIT THE EMERALD CITY A special SENSE Production of The Wizard of Oz features children on the autism spectrum alongside several typically-developing youth actors (see our new "In the Spotlight"
selection of stage events). This inspiring program provides a unique opportunity for children with autism to express themselves in a creative and supportive way, as they follow Dorothy to the “other side of the rainbow.”

1 MONDAY

Baby & Me Mornings Spend an a.m. hour in a 30 minute music and movement class followed by a 30 minutes early art class designed just for babies and toddlers. They’ll explore art with every sense through song, dance and creative activities. 10am and 11am on Mondays through March 29 at ArtBeast in downtown Sacramento. Fit4Birth Prenatal Fitness Carefully designed to assist pregnant women through each trimester, these ongoing fitness classes are open to both pregnant women and new moms. Kids Kount Join Kids Kount at the Gathering Place for “Folsom Family Days,” an outreach for families with young children to connect and create some special memories with photos, a book fair and more. Day at the Museum Celebrate, honor and meet some of California’s remarkable women, who will be speaking about their lives and work. Empty Bowls Supper Due to growing popularity and because this fundraising event has sold out quickly in previous years, a third seating has been added to the 7th annual Empty Bowls event, which raises funds and awareness about hunger in Sacramento County. National Wildlife Week Are you raising indoor kids? Take a walk on the wild side this week! Climb trees, chase butterflies, dig in the dirt and celebrate nature.
